A Progress Report

As you have seen if you have taken a look at our blog is all of the progress we have made on raising awareness of girls equality and education.
We are continuing working on this and after feedback from our Girl week we have been very successful at raising awareness for girls around the world.
We plan on Skyping people and girl from impoverished areas and asking them about their lives and finding out more what they feel needs to be done.
Keep checking our blog for updates on this.

Who We Are.

We are class Cornaro in St.Wolstans Community School. We have set up our own NGO with the aim of raising awareness for women and children around the world. This is our blog where we will post about what we have been doing.
"Educating girls has the highest returning investment"
Girls have the power to change the world, let them.

Our Vision

Our vision  is that the world should be and equal and peaceful place for everybody, girls and boys alike. We look forward to working for a world where women and children are treated equally. A world where no girl is left without education.  A world where no girl is forced to be married at a young age.

Our aim is to raise awareness among our own school community about the power of a girl with education, of the lack of equality between men and women in some countries, of the unjust treatment of women and children in our world today.

Girl Rising screening.

Last Tuesday as a class we had our viewing of Suma's story from Girl Rising. The audience was made up of second year students who had received tickets to see the story earlier on that day . Before the showing of Suma's story we had a preview for each class , where two volunteers from our mini Ngo for schools Across boarders , gave a brief insight into the girl rising movie and a few statistics on Educating girls. The viewing of Suma's story was a great success and our class is currently in the process of analysing surveys that we handed out before and after the viewing.
